This hand-colored etching is from Eleazar Albin's Histoire Naturelle des Oiseaux (1738-1740), printed on J. Whatman watermarked paper and framed in solid wood. Albin, known for his watercolors of wealthy collectors' cabinets, including Sir Hans Sloane, created these bird illustrations with great accuracy, often with the help of his children.
Measurements: 17” x 14.25”W
Condition: Great condition with some scratching on the frame reflective of age.
